A brief Description of available facilities are:-

Intensive Care Unit

24-bedded ICU has been incorporated in the hospital for advanced and careful treatment of diseases of the Heart, Lung and other life threatening medical emergencies. This unit is equipped with bedside multi-para monitors with central monitoring, defibrillators, high end ventilators and allied equipments.
 

Cardiology Unit

The Hospital is fully equipped for diagnosis and the treatment of heart diseases. The department is equipped with colour Doppler facilities for Echo Cardiograph and Stress Test.
 

Nephrology

Regular dialysis for chronic renal diseases is carried out. It is also equipped with an advanced model of lithotripsy that removes kidney stones without undergoing surgery. The urosurgery unit has facilities for endo urosurgical procedures facilities are also available for peritoneal dialysis.
 

Gastroenterology

The Gastroenterology Department is equipped with flexible endoscopic facilities that are useful for diagnosis of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum colon. ERCP and pancreatic duct stenting , Emergency treatment for upper GI Hemorrhage, dilatation stricture, balloon dilatation, esophagial stent, placement and foreign body extraction are also available.
 

Facilities are available for diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI Endoscop. Emergency treatment for upper GI Hemorrhage is also available.

  • Developed flexible sigmoidoscope, and laproscope.
  • In the Neurology department we have an advanced CT scanner for diagnosing various "CNS diseases"
  • A modern EEG Machine for diagnosis and management of Epilepsy, is available. We are presently running a TB program where supervised "Dots" is provided to the sputum positive patient free of cost. There are facilities for PFT (pulmonary function test) TB culture and testing for various TB  drugs.

Department of Pediatrics and neonatology

This department has a well-equipped NICU wherein newborn babies receive a high standard of health care. Further it has other state of the art equipments like warmers, phototheripic equipments, resuscitation, monitoring equipment and Baby Incubators for oxygen therapy.

Department of Internal Medicine

This department has all the facilities for treating general medical disease like High blood pressure, diabetes, disease of brain and nervous system. Other salient points about the department are:

  • 7 bedded intensive coronary care unit.

Department of TB and Chest disease

This department provides its services not only to inpatients but also to the people in the surrounding area by way of regular camps. . This department has been assigned a project for clinical trial of anti tubercular drugs by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IAUTL) France.

Operation Theaters

There are three operation theaters all of which are equipped with modern equipments and instruments for common surgical procedures. The theatres also have a well-developed urosurgical and orthopedic surgical facilities. Super specialty operating rooms like cardiac and neurosurgical operating facilities have been planned for the near future.

 

 

 

Pathology and Bacteriology Laboratory

The hospital has a team of expert pathologist and microbiologists. The lab is equipped with a range of modern, electronic, diagnostic equipments to support the investigatory facilities in the hospital. The Histopathology unit has quality equipments for tissue processing and microtomy.There are also Immunology and Serology labs caring out plethora of tests for hormones cancer marker bacterial parasites and viral diseases diagnosis. The Department is furnished with such equipments like ECT machine, brief pulse serum lithium analyzer and other such machines.

Physiotherapy and rehabilitation department

The Department carries out routine postoperative exercises, rehabilitation services, and management of cold orthopedic cases requiring electrotherapy, ultra sound therapy and UV/IR therapy.
 

Department of pediatrics and neonatology

  • The Department is equipped with warmers, phototherapy units and resuscitation trolleys, apnea monitor, heart rate monitor, ventilators and incubators.
  • Separate arrangements for inborn, out born, septic ward and aseptic section.
  • There is a fully equipped immunization centre in OPD.

Department of Anesthesiology

The Department carries out routine and emergency anesthesiology and resuscitation services. It provides round the clock surgery and allied specialties such as endourosurgery. It has a well-equipped operating room and 6 bedded recovery room. Approximately 3000 to 4000 operations are performed annually
 

Department of Dietetics

The Department has a special dietary advises indoor as well as outdoor. Dietary camps for upliftment of community nutrition are regularly carried out.

Department of radiology and imaging

The Department is equipped with a one 500 and one 300 MA X-Ray machine with image intensifier. The advanced sonography unit has a high frequency transrectal and transvaginal and vascular colour Doppler probe. The Radiology department also caters for tomographic (CT Scan) services and memogrophic studies for diagnosis of breast cancer. Installation of MRI and DSA machine is due shortly.

Department of Imaging

The Department of Imaging forms an integral part in patient care from the CT Scan to the echo and stress department.

       The Department is well equipped:

  • CT Scan - It allows us to perform wide variety of CT procedures with a high degree of diagnostic accuracy.
  • CT scan machine is with laser camera for round the clock investigation of routine serious and trauma patient.
  • The hospital is equipped with colour Doppler probes. The colour Doppler logic 500 is used primarily for abdomen and pelvic application. The revolutionary technology in this provides anatomic and haemodynamic information about abnormal circulation with in heart and vasculisation of arterial tree and blood flow.
  • Mammography - The hospital has advanced mammography unit for early detection of various breast diseases including cancer.
  • Hospital is shortly going to acquire a MRI and a DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography).
